Mapromec Ends 2025 with a Strong Order Book – New Quality Standard on the Horizon

2025 is drawing to an end. For Mapromec, the year once again reflected the ongoing trend of recent years: steady growth. Mapromec closes the year with a strong order book and increased turnover. Although pleased with the positive situation, Managing Director Tapio Kaunismäki highlights the importance of the fact that even during growth, Mapromec was once again able to maintain a world-class delivery reliability of 99%.

“We owe these exceptional results to our skilled and hardworking personnel, our carefully selected partner network, and our valued customers. We are in an excellent position as we move forward into 2026”, Kaunismäki comments.

Taking a step toward AQAP

As in every year since its founding, Mapromec’s emphasis has been on quality – the very foundation of the company’s operations. Quality-related complaints have been exceptionally rare, and Mapromec is strengthening its already-strong quality organization by recruiting a new Quality Engineer.

Mapromec has taken a significant step toward meeting some of the most demanding quality criteria by completing a pre-audit for the AQAP – a certification that includes all requirements of the ISO 9001 quality standard, together with special requirements of the defense industry. Mapromec’s work toward obtaining the AQAP will elevate the company’s quality performance to an even higher level.

“We are committed to the continuous development of our quality performance. Achieving the AQAP certification will be an important investment in Mapromec’s future”, Kaunismäki adds.

New grinding machine commissioned next year

The year 2025 has also included other advancements. The extensive renovation of Mapromec’s assembly unit was completed, and modernizations have been conducted to the company’s production machinery. One of Mapromec’s key machines underwent a major rebuild, including a completely new control system.

Mapromec has continued to execute its investment plan by making an investment decision on a new grinding machine. The machine will arrive in summer 2026 and will be commissioned in the fall. It was also decided that the new machine will be automated: the automated production cell will include advanced features such as a robot and a washing system.

Mapromec has also implemented a machine monitoring system for key machines. Installed sensors help monitor production capacity more accurately and facilitate troubleshooting in cases of recurring interruptions. The system supports preventive maintenance, which in turn has a positive impact on production efficiency.

Reviewing staffing and investment needs to support increasing volumes

Based on forecasts and current orders, volumes are expected to increase in 2026 and 2027. We have already begun reviewing our staffing needs and analyzing our production cells, and will make the necessary investments to ensure our capacity aligns with anticipated growth. This work will continue into 2026. By taking these steps well in advance, we aim to secure timely deliveries for our customers and maintain our high delivery reliability of 99% going forward.

Moving confidently toward 2026

This year, Mapromec once again carried out a customer satisfaction survey. We were pleased with the feedback – overall, customers were especially satisfied with our quality, customer service, order handling, and responsiveness. The responses also provided valuable development ideas, which we humbly welcome and are committed to advancing. With a successful 2025 behind us, we confidently move toward 2026.

Without you, there would be no us — Mapromec extends its warmest and most sincere thanks to its customers and partners for 2025 and wishes you a happy New Year 2026!
